For the last 8 years, this leading Consultancy firm has helped private equity firms in searching and onboarding process across a number of industries. As they continue their growth, they are currently looking for a commercially minded, driven and entrepreneurial individual. Working with internal Directors and Senior Associates, as the new Associate, you will be given the opportunity to work directly with companies as they go through a critical stage of development, from initial reach-out to searching and identifying the right individuals.

Role and responsibilities

As the successful Associate, your role will be broken up across Research and Business Development:

Research:
• Work with the Directors and Senior Associates to identify and approach target candidates for our retained search assignments
• Make the first research call approaching the candidates- gaining critical information, selling the role’s prospects and building their interest in the opportunity
• Track all management teams selling their business to trade buyers and approach to participate in the deal network.
• Manage all new candidate registrations on a weekly basis.
Business development:
• Track and analyse all UK Private equity transactions (we’ll show you how)
• Identify management team members, Chair, CEO & CFO – target clients
• Work with our marketing team on bespoke email campaigns to target these clients
• Follow up on the campaigns with a telephone call to arrange a meeting or an introductory call with one of our Directors

Skill set

As the successful Associate, you will have the following:

• At least 2 years recruitment industry experience. We’re not really bothered about the sector; it’s your attitude and your potential we want
• A be a self-starter with a touch of entrepreneurial DNA – taking risks should not frighten you
• Hunger and ambition are essential
• A people person – seriously, if you don’t like building relationships with people this isn’t the job for you
• Comfortable working to a target that’s achievable but will stretch you
• We believe that organisation, quality, innovation and persistence conquer all – you will benefit from all of them
• Very comfortable with social media and new technology because we really like it
• Goes without saying really but you must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for personal development; hard work and achievement
