Our client builds machine intelligence systems and they're looking to appoint a Head of Sales who has the potential to grow with the company and build the business development team. Working closely with the CEO, you will help to formulate sales strategy and close new business in the UK. The products are highly technical and you, as the Head of Sales, will need an enthusiasm to learn and communicate about artificial intelligence.

Role and responsibilities

As the Head of Sales you'll have the following responsibilities:

• Help develop the company's proposition and test assumptions in the market
• Independently generate and develop new leads
• Develop a structured sales approach
• Create proposals, sales documents and presentations
• Participate in the product development process

Skill set

The ideal Head of Sales candidate will have the following attributes:

• A minimum of Bachelor's Degree education from a Russell Group university
• At least 5 years experience selling complex and technical solutions to major clients
• A consultative style and an enthusiasm for getting under the surface of the customer's needs
• A startup/bootstrapping mindset
• A talent for understanding and communicating technical concepts - with strong writing skills
