The successful Senior Programmatic Manager will be keen to learn, want to strive for success and have a desire to question everything. An analytical mind-set coupled with a creative flair is a must for this role along with the willingness to take a risk.

The Senior Programmatic Manager, is responsible for the effective implementation of client account development plans (ADPs) in order to achieve client’s annual business objectives and targets.

The role will be dedicated to driving display performance through the day-to-day management and effective implementation of client’s display strategy. Primarily through DoubleClick Bid Manager, but including opportunities with other tech partners.

The role will drive and implement the recommendations of the channel head, and will play a vital part in defining and supporting Programmatic best practice through working closely with the Client's Network (community).

*This role may require travel to and working from other locations from time to time.

Role and responsibilities

Roles of Senior Programmatic Manager:
● Support the development and execution of the client strategy to increase profit, and provide a high level of great customer service to clients
● Assist in new business proposals, identifying key opportunities to develop/grow accounts
● Responsible for client accounts, following Programmatic best practice, ensuring that hygiene factors are monitored and managed accordingly
● Utilise and become agency leader with tools such as DoubleClick Bid Manager (as well as potentially other DSPs), Google Analytics, DoubleClick Campaign Manager and others
● Surprise and delight clients through innovation, knowledge share & insight; highlighting successes on a weekly basis (monthly for smaller clients). Support Programmatic Managers & Executives to adopt this approach to client management & performance.
● Provide campaign reporting and measurement of the effectiveness of campaigns
● Ensure client reports are delivered on-time and accurately
● Direct line manage a team of Programmatic Executives and Managers, managing monthly 1:1s and Quarterly Performance Reviews (QPRs), mentor new team members to become operational in their roles quickly and efficiently.
● Attend and contribute to second interviews with potential candidates and support the final selection process.
● Manage and direct training and development needs for Programmatic Executives and Managers, including management of Personal Development Plans (PDPs).
● Oversee regular or ad hoc projects and delivery of projects within the team.
● Contribute to the new business process and oversee management of sales support delivery from the team as required / requested by the sales team.
● Identify areas of development within existing business and support the Programmatic Channel Head to upsell from Croud's suite of digital services.
● Drive overall performance within the team to achieve margin and incremental revenue month on month.

Responsibilities of Senior Programmatic Manager:
● Accountable and responsible for forecasting client spend on Display platforms.
● Accountable and responsible for analysing campaign performance providing detailed insight to the client.
● Accountable and responsible for keeping abreast of new products and technology to be implemented on clients’ campaigns to enhance performance.
● Accountable and responsible for spotting trends and acting accordingly with the clients’ objectives in mind.
● Responsible the management of external agencies and third party service providers.
● Accountable and responsible for product betas, targeting opportunities are implemented into client accounts in a timely manner .
● Responsible for managing Quarterly Performance Reviews in tangent with the Programmatic Channel Head.
● Responsible for supporting the Sales team with new business pitches and the Programmatic Channel Head with new business opportunities from within the existing portfolio of clients.

Skill set

Skills and Experiences of Senior Programmatic Manager:
● Degree level education or relevant equivalent experience
● Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Digital Marketing
● Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Programmatic advertising
● Excellent communication, organisation, and presentation skills
● A mathematical and analytical mind
● Exceptional client service skills
● Highly organised and an ability to multi-task
● Impeccable attention to detail
● Excellent Microsoft Office skills which must include Excel, Word and PowerPoint
● Proven track record of working to deadlines
● Proven time management skills
● Proven ability to negotiate.
● The ability to autonomously identify opportunities, generate ideas and formulate strategies
● Leadership skills: managing direct reports, a motivator
● 1+ years line management experience, mentoring & training
● Proven experience in client expectation management roles and situations, able to manage and direct client expectations
● Clear passion for digital marketing and programmatic display
